Giáo hoàng Francis lên ngôi


Giáo hoàng Francis nhận chiếc nhẫn và chiếc khăn lông cừu tượng trưng cho quyền lực của người đứng đầu Giáo hội Công giáo trước sự chứng kiến của hàng trăm nhà lãnh đạo thế giới và hàng nghìn giáo dân tại Quảng trường St. Peter, Vatican.

Giáo hoàng Francis mặc áo chùng trắng, xuất hiện trong chiếc xe trắng mui trần, vẫy tay và mỉm cười với các giáo dân tại quảng trường St. Peter, trước khi tham dự lễ Thánh lễ vào 9h30 sáng 19/3 giờ địa phương (tức 15h30 giờ Hà Nội). Giáo hoàng dừng lại để hôn một em bé và ra khỏi xe để ban phước cho một người đàn ông khuyết tật.

Các cận vệ đi theo hai bên thành xe. Ngài vẫy tay chào hỏi giáo dân trong niềm hân hoan của các tín đồ, giữa tiếng nhạc chuông ngân nga vang vọng trên quảng trường và ánh nắng nhẹ.

Sau đó Giáo hoàng đến quỳ trước mộ Thánh Peter, Giáo hoàng đầu tiên của Giáo hội Công giáo. Francis nhận chiếc nhẫn biểu tượng của quyền lực của Giáo hoàng từ Hồng y Angelo Sodano, người đứng đầu Hồng y đoàn, cùng dải khăn lông cừu, tượng trưng cho vai trò dẫn dắt các con chiên của Giáo hoàng.

Trên nhẫn có khắc hình thánh Peter râu ria rậm rạp tay cầm một đôi chìa khóa - thể hiện giây phút ngài có được chìa khóa mở cửa thiên đường. Trước kia nhẫn vừa là biểu tượng vừa là con dấu của giáo hoàng, nhưng thời nay các giáo hoàng có con dấu riêng để đóng lên các tài liệu.

Tân Giáo hoàng có bài giảng đạo dài bằng tiếng Italy, bày tỏ lòng cảm tạ Chúa và chào đón các Hồng y, tu sĩ và giáo dân. Rất trùng hợp, ngày lễ đăng quang của Giáo hoàng Francis lại là ngày mang tên người tiền nhiệm là Giáo hoàng Benedict XVI.

"Với Giáo hoàng Francis, Giáo hội sẽ đến gần với giáo dân hơn", linh mục Rodrigo Grajales 31 tuổi người Colombia, có mặt tại quảng trường, nói.

Cùng lúc, những đám đông khổng lồ các giáo dân tập trung bên ngoài nhà thờ lớn ở Buenos Aires vừa xem truyền hình trực tiếp vừa nhảy múa hát ca. Học sinh các trường dòng ngân nga những câu khẩu hiệu ca ngợi Giáo hoàng Francis trong khi các thầy tu và các sơ vẫy cờ Vatican.

"Giáo hoàng đã thức tỉnh những tình cảm sâu đậm trong tôi, không chỉ bởi ngài là người Argentina mà bởi sự nồng hậu của ngài. Là một người Công giáo, niềm tin của tôi đã được tiếp thêm sức mạnh", Celia Farias, 33 tuổi, nói.

Sau đó, Giáo hoàng làm lễ ban thánh thể. Ông bẻ và ăn bánh thánh rồi phát cho những người xung quanh. Các tu sĩ tiến về phía đám đông phát bánh thánh cho các giáo dân. Cuối cùng, Giáo hoàng thứ 266 đọc lời cầu nguyện và kết thúc buổi lễ đăng quang lịch sử.

Hàng trăm lãnh đạo thế giới và lãnh đạo tôn giáo có mặt tại Vatican tham dự lễ nhậm chức của Giáo hoàng Francis tại Quảng trường St. Peter. Đây sẽ là nơi Giáo hoàng người Mỹ Latin đầu tiên nhận biểu tượng chính thức cho quyền lực của người lãnh đạo 1,2 tỷ giáo dân Công giáo.

Hàng trăm nghìn người dự kiến tụ tập tại quảng trường và các con phố để chứng kiến giờ phút người đứng đầu giáo hội lên ngôi. Lễ đăng quang dự kiến diễn ra trong hai giờ đồng hồ.

Đại diện các chính phủ, tổ chức, tôn giáo đã tề tựu đông đủ tại hàng ghế phía trước tại quảng trường. Đông đảo giáo dân trên quảng trường vẫy vô số lá cờ, cờ của giáo hội, của các nước như Italy, Argentina. Giáo hoàng Francis là con của một gia đình di dân từ Italy sang Argentina và ngài là người Mỹ Latin đầu tiên đứng đầu giáo hội Công giáo La Mã.

Vatican thắt chặt an ninh cho Thánh lễ đầu tiên của Giáo hoàng, với 3.000 nhân viên an ninh, kể cả các tay thiện xạ ẩn mình trên các nóc nhà, cũng như đội chuyên gia bom mìn. Ba lều của Chữ Thập đỏ được dựng lên quanh quảng trường.

Tại bàn thờ phía trước Vương cung thánh đường, Giáo hoàng sẽ được dâng áo bào, và sau đó dâng nhẫn, cùng một cuốn kinh thánh. Kế đó, 6 vị hồng y đại diện cho giáo đoàn thề trung thành với Giáo hoàng.

Tại buổi lễ, 250 vị giám mục và tổng giám mục được bố trí ngồi bên trái bàn thờ, cùng các chức sắc của các giáo hội thiên chúa khác. Hơn 130 quan khách từ các đoàn ngoại giao được ngồi phía bên phải bàn thờ. Phía sau họ là đại diện của các tôn giáo gồm Do Thái giáo, Hồi giáo và nhiều tôn giáo khác. Kế đó nữa là 1.200 thầy tu.

Tân giáo hoàng sẽ phát biểu và thuyết giảng bằng tiếng Italy, trong khi thánh ca được cất lên bằng tiếng Hy Lạp. Trong các phần khác của lễ mixa hôm nay, ngôn ngữ chính được sử dụng là tiếng Latinh.
